Kick-off Meeting for the Research Project “Top-Level Design Plan for Gu’an Kunrui Zero-Carbon Computing Power Industrial Park” Held in Beijing

On the afternoon of August 31, the kick-off meeting for the research project "Top-Level Design Plan for Gu'an Kunrui Zero-Carbon Computing Power Industrial Park," organized by the Energy Investment Committee of the China Investment Association, was successfully held in Beijing. The meeting aimed to align with the development direction of the "Spatial Coordination Plan for the Modern Capital Metropolitan Area" and, with the core concept of "Intelligent Computing Empowerment, Green Electricity as the Foundation, and Zero-Carbon Development," discuss how to promote the deep integration of intelligent computing and green energy, drawing a new blueprint for the industrial upgrading and green development of Gu'an County.
Zhang Jie, vice chairman of the Energy Investment Committee of the China Investment Association, presided over the meeting. At the meeting, the research group first gave a detailed introduction to the basic situation of the project and reported the overall framework of the research outline. The report focused on the innovative perspective of a "flexible green electricity direct-connection computing power park" and conducted a preliminary technical and economic assessment, laying a theoretical foundation for the project's feasibility analysis.
After listening to the report, the participating experts offered professional opinions and suggestions from multiple dimensions, including policy orientation, technical pathways, market applications, and investment and financing models, providing valuable ideas for the in-depth study of the project.
At the end of the meeting, Sun Yaowei, head of the research group and chairman of the Energy Investment Committee of the China Investment Association, delivered concluding remarks. He said that the valuable insights of the participating experts had pointed out the direction and broadened the thinking for the project research. He emphasized that the significance of this project lies not only in exploring pathways for green energy transformation, but also in deeply engaging in and substantively promoting the implementation of local industrial planning. The research group will take practical actions to coordinate project advancement with local governments, committed to leading the computing power industry toward deep decarbonization, comprehensively enhancing its green competitiveness, and contributing to the sustainable development of the regional economy.
