HarmoPower attended the Tashkent 2025 International Conference on Energy Efficiency Science and Technology and delivered a plenary presentation.
The international scientific and technical conference "Energy Efficiency-2025: Intelligence—The Future of Energy Development" was successfully held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, from December 19 to 20, 2025. Hosted by the Tashkent State Technical University, the conference brought together experts, scholars, enterprise representatives, and government officials from the energy sectors of multiple countries, including China, Uzbekistan, Russia, Germany, Malaysia, and Australia. Participants engaged in discussions on cutting-edge topics such as global energy transition, smart grids, and renewable energy integration.

Xiamen HarmoPower Tech Co., Ltd., as a representative of innovative energy storage technology enterprises from China, was invited to attend the conference. Dr. Lin Weixing, Chairman of the Company, delivered a keynote speech titled "Modular Multilevel Energy Storage Technology: The Key to Achieving 100% Renewable Energy Grids." He shared the company's breakthrough technology in the field of battery energy storage systems—the Modular Multilevel Battery Energy Storage System (MMB)—providing an innovative solution for building high-proportion renewable energy grids in Uzbekistan and across Central Asia.
In his speech, Dr. Lin Weixing directly addressed the core challenges of Uzbekistan's current energy transition: how to safely and efficiently integrate growing wind and photovoltaic power into an aging grid infrastructure to build a stable and reliable green grid. Traditional centralized energy storage systems suffer from inherent drawbacks such as cell series mismatch issues, high circulating current risks, and complex operation and maintenance. In contrast, HarmoPower's independently developed MMB (Modular Multilevel BESS) technology achieves a revolutionary breakthrough by advancing control from the traditional "battery stack level" to the "battery pack level" (52 cells).
1.Ultimate Safety and Longevity: With inter-pack equalization current reaching up to 157A—tens to thousands of times higher than conventional solutions—MMB completely resolves cell consistency issues, significantly enhancing system usable capacity and lifespan.
2.Precise Control and High Efficiency: Independent control at the battery pack level offers precision far exceeding existing battery energy storage technologies. This enables the system's overall charge/discharge efficiency to lead the industry, with outstanding performance validated in multiple large-scale, grid-side energy storage projects.
3.Grid-Forming Capability and Scalability: The MMB technology can be extended to develop "Grid-Forming Energy Storage Systems" capable of autonomously establishing grid voltage. These systems can be integrated into the MMB 4.0 platform, achieving single-unit power levels up to gigawatt (GW) scale. Their power density and regulation capability are comparable to traditional thermal power units, providing stable inertia and robust grid support.
Dr. Lin further proposed a vision for a "100% Renewable Energy Transmission System." By integrating large-scale photovoltaic power plants with high-capacity, grid-forming MMB energy storage, a "green power plant" can be formed that not only provides stable power output but also participates in grid dispatch. Coupled with advanced high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission based on Modular Multilevel Converter (MMC) technology, this approach enables the long-distance and efficient delivery of clean energy, outlining a practical pathway for green energy development.
